Hi! My name is Caitlin Nicholson and I am the 7th grade Exceptional Education teacher here at Pleasant Grove High School!

I am originally from the small town of Scottsboro, Alabama and I am the youngest of three children. Upon graduating from Scottsboro High School in 2010, I attended Auburn University. I earned a Bachelors of Science in Collaborative Special Education (K-12) from Auburn in December 2014.

After graduating from college, I moved to Birmingham and currently live in Homewood. This is my third year teaching. My first year I was in Jefferson County and I taught the 5th-7th grade self-contained classroom at Bagley Junior High. My second year I was with Hoover City Schools and I taught 5th grade inclusion at Brock's Gap Intermediate School. Now I am here at Pleasant Grove teaching 7th grade inclusion and I couldn't be more excited!

Aside from being the 7th grade exceptional education teacher, I am also the 7th and 8th grade Spartan Cheerleading Coach. Outside of working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, reading and cheering on the Auburn Tigers on the weekend. War Eagle!
